It’s Negroni Week! We’ve never really needed an excuse to drink negronis but a whole week dedicated to them is right up our street.
To celebrate we are giving away FREE negronis to the first 50 customers through the door on Friday 17th September. If you miss out on a freebie, we’ll have £5 negronis all day for the rest of the day.
What is a negroni?
If you’ve not tried one before, you’re in for a treat. A classic Negroni is an Italian-born cocktail invented over 100 years ago, originally designed to be enjoyed at “aperitivo hour” to “prepare the palette” for an upcoming meal.
It contains equal parts gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. The negroni is a dry, bitter cocktail thanks to Campari, but the sweet vermouth and orange peel garnish add warmth and subtle sweetness to the cocktail which brings together a perfect balance between all the flavours.
At Three Little Words, we have something to suit all palettes and offer a few variations of the Negroni, such as our Raspberry Infused Negroni which uses Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused, Rose Vermouth, and Aperol in a softer, fruitier version. Or for something more Mediterranean, we’ve paired Wild Spirit Gin with Suze and White Vermouth.
Can’t make it on Friday? Luckily negronis are nice and simple to make at home. We’ve got you covered with our recipes for a delicious negroni at home. Here are some of our all time favourites:
